I have been going to RIAT since 2011 - It should have been 2010 but I was sat on Cad West at the time.. So my mates went without me.. and wow they loved it. and since 2011 I have too. 

Over the years I built up camera gear and experience capturing all things military air shows from RAF Fairford to Southport to Dundee. The Vulcan was a special one for me and Ric as we both attended Avro Aerospace when we were young. 

So 2023 - Started for me setting off on Tuesday 11th July from Manchester 9am.. hitting traffic all the way.. finally getting to Kempsford camping at lunch. Setup tents and event shelter and ready to take some shots of the arrivals and the B52's were truly showstoppers and I'm glad I got there early that week as the biggest storm took most of the weekend and show with it, 45mph gusts and rain! We were treated to 36degrees heat this time last year! oh well, never mind. we were with friends and did that stop us having fun! nope!! 

After getting to know the Nikon Z6 a little better I took to seeing what I could capture as the streaming setup was not coming out due to the rain and wind. 

A few of my favs - I was unlucky that I missed the Ospreys but hey.. there's always next year!!
